1. What is the PID?

The PID is a supplementary travel document containing key passport information in a compact, credit-card format. It includes:

  • A physical ID card with essential details

  • A digital companion app for offline access

Note: The PID does NOT replace your official passport for border crossings.

3. Does the PID replace my government-issued passport?

No. The PID is a supplementary document only. Your official passport remains required for international travel.

4. Can I use my PID when I get a new passport?

No. You must apply for a new PID if your passport is reissued or renewed.

5. Is the PID accepted worldwide?

Acceptance varies by country.

6. Can I apply if my passport is expiring soon?

Your passport must be valid for at least 30 days beyond the PID application date.

Application Process

1. What do I need to apply?

1 - A clear copy of your valid domestic passport

2 - Your full personal details (as shown in your passport) together with your current residential address

3 - A recent passport-style photo (plain background)

4 - Your signature (digital scan or clear photo)

4. How long does it take to receive my PID after applying?

Your Passport Information Datacard (PID) is typically processed and shipped within 3-5 business days after we receive your completed application and verified documents. Allow 2-5 business days for delivery (shipping time varies depending on your location).

5. Can someone else pay for my PID?

Yes, but email us at info@idpid.com with the payer’s/payee’s full name and email.

Renewals

1. How do I renew my PID?

Submit a renewal request with:

  • Your 10-digit PID number (found below the barcode)

  • Updated photo (if needed)

  • Current address

Shipping

1. What are the shipping options/costs?

We ship via Royal Mail and other couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, etc.). Costs vary by carrier and destination, with details available on each courier’s website.

2. Can you ship to P.O. Boxes/APO addresses?

This depends on your chosen shipping couriers - some require physical street addresses.

3. What if my package is lost?

In cases where the shipping carrier confirms loss of your PID package, we will issue a complimentary replacement upon validation of the claim.

4. Can multiple PIDs ship together?

Yes! Multiple shipping is allowed.

5. What happens if the USPS package is lost?

International Driving Authority relinquishes all responsibilities for delays, lost, stolen or damaged documents for USPS deliveries. We highly recommend FedEx for more effective service.

6. Can I ship more than one document in the same package?

Yes, you can ship up to 4 documents in the same FedEx package, paying just one shipping fee. You may use the “Comments” field to add the names of the clients that we should ship together.

1. How can I make the payment?

All payments will be processed through our authorized agents. After you place an order, our agents will contact you shortly via email to provide payment instructions and assist you with shipping and any other relevant information.
